ABOUT US

A.S.I.A. Foundation: Empowering Asian-American Students

The Asian-American Students in America (A.S.I.A.) Foundation was established through the commitment of teachers from the Vietnamese Dual-Language Program and local volunteers. Its mission is to help develop leadership skills, promote Asian cultures, and provide educational and career guidance to student members. Founded as a nonprofit organization in October 2000, it was previously known as the Walnut Creek-Vietnamese Foundation.

Mission

Our mission is to lead students toward successful educational journeys, enrich their lives with cultural experiences, advocate for Asian culture in America, and guide them in developing leadership skills (L.E.A.D).

Vision

We aim to support students within The Foundation as they strive for success in America by providing a solid educational foundation, career guidance, and assistance in developing their leadership skills to become successful citizens in the future.

Our Commitment to Students

We believe that our students represent the future. Our mission is to cultivate motivated, ethical, and responsible individuals. We aim to build students' confidence while encouraging excellence in all their endeavors. By focusing on nurturing future leaders, we provide scholarships to support their pursuit of higher education.

For many years, our foundation has positively impacted the lives of students, from pre-kindergarten through college. Our organization is powered by a dedicated all-volunteer management team composed of teachers, parents, professionals, and students.

Asia Foundation's Academic Success Initiative

Asia Foundation is dedicated to fostering academic success. In 2008, we launched a scholarship program to encourage the pursuit of higher education. Our scholarship program awards $2,000 over four years to qualified student members who enroll in a higher education program.

These four-year scholarships are granted to A.S.I.A Foundation student members who exemplify our core values: community involvement, peer leadership, and academic achievement.
